I am delighted to announce that Goldscholars College and Schools will be hosting a Grand Inter-House Sports Competition this year 🏅🎽. Our last Inter-House Sports was held in March 2022 with the theme “A Sound Mind in a Sound Body,” and we are excited to once again revive this important tradition.

This event reflects our strong commitment to holistic education—developing not only sound academic minds but also healthy bodies, teamwork, discipline, leadership, and sportsmanship in our learners. It promises to be a season of unity, excitement, healthy competition, and school pride.

We look forward to the full support and active participation of our parents, learners, and staff as preparations begin. More details about the date, theme, and programme will be shared soon.

ABOUT GOLDSCHOLARS COLLEGE AND SCHOOLS

Goldscholars College and Schools, is located at 6 Itunu Olamilokun Lane  Off Ijegun Isolo Road, By Fagbile Bus Stop, Ijegun, Alimoso LGA, Lagos, Nigeria. The school was established on the 4th October 2011.    On the 29th of February 2012 the Ministry of Education approved the use of the name GOLDSCHOLARS MODEL NURSERY AND PRIMARY SCHOOL.  The formal operation started on the 5th March 2012 and then we had twenty four pupils and seven members of staff. Our classes consist of  Creche, Play Group, Nursery1, Nursery 2, Kindergarten, Primary One to Primary Six. Goldscholars Model Nursery and Primary School  is a coeducational, day school. 

Our College has been in existence since September 2017 at Itunu Olamilokun Lane, Ijegun. On September 2024, we moved to 1b Simeon Adeoti Street, By Chizel Bus Stop, Isolo to Ijegun Express. For the 2025/2026 Academic Session, we will operate classes in JS 1 to 3 and SS 1 to 3.

Our main aim  is to produce a total child that is capable of withstanding demands of adulthood.

A Virile PTA—We have a virile PTA that ensured the availability of power supply to our school.  With their assistance and the passion of the management for continuous power supplies, our school enjoy constant power  throughout the duration of the school.

A Proactive ICT Policy.—Goldscholars has desktop monitors on our desks in  our  ICT room.  We also encourage our pupils to understand the trend in ICT tools, they make use of playbook, iPad, Laptops and even Netbooks for their studies.  Our system encourages our staff and students to recall past events with anticipated zeal and passions.  Every staff is introduced to the use of laptops and Mobile Phone for instructional purposes and archiving.

Staff Seminar—At Goldscholars the staff are encouraged to upgrade their knowledge through periodic seminars. Also, we participate in international conferences such as Birmingham Educational Conferences at UK.

 Our  uniform is part of our brand. The pupils wear short sleeve white branded shirt with brown and gold tie on a knickers for boys and pleated skirt for girls.  Our Sport wear is in four colours : Red, Blue, Green and Yellow all on a black sport knickers.  We have a brown cardigan to be worn on rainy or wet days.

The Goldscholars Model School is well equipped with professionals and experienced educationists. The team is led by the Executive Director of Schools, Mrs Abimbola Mercy Olamilokun M Ed Educ Admin UNILAG 88) B.Sc (Ed) Chemistry (UNILAG 86). NCE Chemistry/Maths 1982.

Other members of teaching staff  are experienced with qualified teachers Certificate such as NCE, BEd, B Sc(Ed), PGDE and MEd.  The administrative staff consists of Administrative Officer,School Secretary, Store Keeper, Driver, Security Men and Domestic Assistant .

The Team 2526 are dedicated staff at Goldscholars  selected to ensure that we are capable of achieving the appropriate set goals of Ministry of Education and that of our founders.

Commodore Dr. Akintomide Olamilokun  FCIHRM, DSS, M.Sc, BSc Maths (UNILAG), MNIM, psc(++), fwc. is our Chairman.  He was the erstwhile Head of Nigerian Navy Education (2004 to 2008) with varied experience in school management Human Resource Management and ICT. He went to Ilesa Grammar School Ilesa and obtained WASCE with First Division in 1972 and graduated from the University of Lagos in 1978 with a Second Class Upper Degree in Mathematics. He obtained a Master of Science Degree from  the University of Ibadan in 2003. He is a Royal Navy United Kingdom trained naval educator since 1981.
