GOLDSCHOLARS COLLEGE AND SCHOOLS

15TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

Date: Monday, 5th October 2026
Venue: Goldscholars Primary Pavilion

Goldscholars College and Schools celebrated its 15th Anniversary on Monday, 5th October 2026, marking 15 years since the Goldscholars brand was established on 4th October 2011.

The programme commenced at 11:05 a.m. with Praise and Worship led by Mrs. Akabusi, followed by the National Anthem, National Pledge, and School Anthem. The Chairman, Governing Board, Dr. SEA Commodore Olamilokun Akintomide, introduced the Directors, senior members of staff, and other staff members.

A major highlight of the event was the swearing-in of the newly appointed College and Primary School prefects and class captains conducted by the Chairman, Governing Board.

Due to rainfall, the learners moved to their classrooms while senior staff held a brief meeting at the CGB Office. During the meeting, the Director of Schools encouraged staff to continually strengthen and promote the Goldscholars brand and work together towards building a Golden School. She emphasized the importance of upholding the school’s vision, values, and brand with pride, commitment, and excellence.

Despite the rainfall, the anniversary celebration was successfully conducted and provided an opportunity to celebrate 15 years of growth, excellence, and impact.

REPORT ON NATIONAL DAY CELEBRATION

Date: Wednesday, 30th September 2026
Venue: Goldscholars Primary Pavilion

Goldscholars College and Schools celebrated Nigeria’s National Day in a colourful and patriotic atmosphere on Wednesday, 30th September 2026. The celebration was organised to create awareness of the significance of Nigeria’s Independence and to instil patriotism, unity, and national pride in our learners.

Programme of Activities

The celebration commenced with opening remarks, welcoming the learners and staff and highlighting the importance of celebrating our nation.

This was followed by the National Anthem and the National Pledge, which were observed with respect and enthusiasm. The learners and staff then proceeded with the School Anthem.

A brief history of Nigeria’s Independence Day was presented to educate the learners on the events surrounding Nigeria’s attainment of independence and the importance of the day.

The Brigade Parade was one of the major highlights of the celebration. The learners displayed discipline, coordination, and confidence during the parade.

The celebration continued with dancing and flag-wagging, creating an atmosphere of joy and excitement. The learners participated enthusiastically while displaying the Nigerian colours.

A special prayer for Nigeria was offered, committing the nation, its leaders, citizens, and future into God’s hands and praying for peace, unity, and progress.

The event also provided an opportunity for picture-taking, as learners and staff captured memorable moments from the celebration.

The programme came to an end with closing remarks, appreciating everyone who contributed to the success of the celebration and encouraging the learners to remain patriotic and responsible citizens.

Conclusion

The National Day Celebration was a memorable and engaging event.

Election was conducted in the morning, years from Year 1- year 5 voted for their respective candidates
It was a free and fair elections.
Results will be announced on monday during the anniversary

Others: There was an incident concerning Nwankwo David and Ngene Chibuike from year 2 during primary sport yesterday which led to injury after Nwankwo David hit his head close to eye on the red carpet.
He was taken care of by the sick bay officer. His mother was contact later.
This morning, when he came to school the injury seems to have swollen more.
But before closure today, the injury is gradually subsiding.

REPORT ON GOLDSCHOLARS PRAYER DAY – 21ST SEPTEMBER 2026

The 2026 Goldscholars Prayer Day was successfully held today, Monday, 21st September 2026, at the Goldscholars Primary Schools Pavilion.

The programme commenced with a joint assembly of learners, staff, and the Goldscholars Choir. It featured praise and worship, hymn rendition, the National Anthem, School Anthem, Bible reading from Psalm 136, exhortation, and prayers.

Special prayers were offered for the Governing Board, Management, staff, parents and guardians, learners, the nation Nigeria, the school, and the forthcoming 15th Anniversary celebration.

The occasion also provided an opportunity to celebrate our amiable Director of Schools, Mrs Abimbola Mercy Olamilokun, on her 64th birthday. Staff and learners joined in celebrating and wishing her continued good health, wisdom, and greater achievements.

The programme ended with the closing prayer and benediction, followed by refreshments.

Overall, the 2026 Goldscholars Prayer Day was a spiritually uplifting and successful event.
