GOLDSCHOLARS MODEL SCHOOLS – 15TH ANNIVERSARY PROGRAMME REPORT
The Goldscholars Model Schools 15th Anniversary Programme commenced at 11:05 a.m. with a session of Praise and Worship, led by Mrs. Oshadusi.
This was followed by the National Anthem, National Pledge, and School Anthem.
The Chairman, Governing Board, introduced himself, the Directors of Goldscholars Model Schools, and the senior members of staff. Thereafter, Mrs. Enyi, the Administrator of the Schools, introduced the College and Primary School staff.
The programme continued with the swearing-in of the newly appointed prefects. Mrs. Oshadusi called out the College prefects, while the Head of School (HOS) called out the Primary School prefects. The prefects were subsequently sworn in by the Chairman, Governing Board (CGB), Dr. SEA Commodore Olamilokun Akintomide.
Due to the rainfall, the learners proceeded to their respective classrooms, while the senior members of staff held a brief meeting at the CGB Office.
During the meeting, the Director of Schools addressed the senior Goldscholars staff on the need to continually strengthen and promote the Goldscholars Model Schools brand. She encouraged everyone to work together towards building a Golden School, emphasizing the importance of carrying the Goldscholars vision, values, and brand at heart and representing the school with pride, commitment, and excellence.
The programme was successfully conducted despite the rainfall.

    During the voting exercise today, a fight occurred between Aina Dominion, a Year Two learner, and Ukpong Joseph, a Year Four learner, inside the Year Two classroom.
    During the incident, both learners sustained minor injuries. Ukpong Joseph sustained a slight cut on his ear, while Aina Dominion sustained an injury to his lower lip.
    The incident was promptly attended to, and the learners were separated and attended to appropriately. The matter was reported for further observation and necessary follow-up.

PRIMARY SECTION PREFECT ELECTION REPORT
The prefect election was successfully conducted today at Goldscholars Model Schools, Primary Section. The election was free and fair, and all learners were given the opportunity to vote for their preferred candidates for the various prefectship positions.
The election was conducted successfully, after which the learners returned to their respective classrooms to eat. They later stepped out to participate in the Independence Celebration.
Overall, the election was conducted peacefully and successfully.

September 20th of every year is a memorable day in the history of Goldscholars College and Schools, as it marks the birthday of our esteemed Proprietor and Executive Director of Schools, Mrs. Abimbola Mercy Olamilokun.
The day is also observed as the Goldscholars Prayer Day, a special occasion dedicated to prayers and thanksgiving for the school, its leadership, staff, learners, parents, and the continued growth and success of the Goldscholars brand.
As September 20th, 2026 fell on a Sunday, the Goldscholars Prayer Day was observed on Monday, 21st September 2026.
The occasion provided an opportunity for the Goldscholars community to come together in gratitude and prayer, seeking God’s continued guidance, protection, wisdom, favour, and blessings upon the school and its leadership.
Happy Birthday to our esteemed Proprietor and Executive Director of Schools, Mrs. Abimbola Mercy Olamilokun.
